Likya Summer Scholars was created to offer something different—a deep, personal way to explore Türkiye’s south coast. From your host, who spent years exploring the area, learning from local guides, swimming in hidden bays, and learning about Türkiye. We’re passionate about sharing this side of Türkiye, far beyond what typical tours offer.

Meet the Team

  • I was born and raised in İstanbul, Türkiye, and I’ve spent my life exploring its coastlines, mountains, and ancient cities. I’ve worked as a guide in Kaş, but this program is something special—it’s close to my heart.

    When you come to Kaş, I’ll be the one helping you settle in, leading you through ruins, markets, translating Turkish culture, and making sure you always feel welcome. I love sharing Turkish culture like I did with the Savad Family. This is about its food, its people, and its stories—with those who are curious and open to learning.

    And yes, I take Turkish Rukı Night very seriously. You’ll see. Why not?

  • Growing up spending summers at our family home in Kaş, I always dreamed of sharing this incredible place with others. Kaş has an energy unlike anywhere else, a mix of warmth, adventure, and community that leaves a lasting impression.

    I created Likya Summer Scholars to give students and recent graduates the chance to experience that same feeling: to live like a local, learn, and explore one of the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean. The program blends culture, nature, and adventure, encouraging personal growth through meaningful connection and exploration.

    As an ocean engineer and lifelong traveler, I’ve spent much of my life on and around the water, from two Atlantic crossings, expeditions in Alaska and scientific voyages in the Caribbean. Over the past two summers, I’ve lived in Kaş for five months each season, leaned the language and rediscovered the town through the eyes of new friends and locals alike.

    This project is my way of inviting others into that experience, to slow down, immerse themselves, and take away lessons that last far beyond the trip itself.
